It was breakfast… then also my lunch later. Le Peep at 9807 Katy Fwy, Houston TX 77024 - hours, address, map, directions, phone number, customer ratings and comments. It was pretty good, but I gotta say that my favorite thing on the menu ever is the skillets! I got the Wanderer Skillet with fried eggs, cheese, potatoes, tomatoes, bacon and an english muffin.

We also had the Texas-sized cinnamon roll - so decadent - balanced out with the parfait that’s also p good without the calorie guilt.Īnother new thing about Le Peep is they introduced a new rotating menu item that has a throwback dish and a brand new one - like this churro waffles with bacon ribs (double fried ribs - tastes like bacon!). There are also some yum fancy coffee drinks to try too - even some with more than caffeine in ’em. Like, watch out Jimmy John’s Le Peep is coming for your slogan. Also, Le Peep delivers the food freaky fast, y’all. We started with some waters and coffee for the table - because Le Peep hosts tons of business meetings, each table gets their own water carafes and coffee pots to insure minimal interruption from the wait staff. The ginormous breakfast menu is pretty much the same as it’s always been - the owners said their loyal customers would raise hell if it changed too much - except for one thing: They got alcohol, beer and wine now, and…. Then, on my dad’s 60th birthday for a TBT, they went for breakfast. Anyways, my dad managed it and was such a hotshot (he was regularly on the local news ? for some reason? I won’t pretend to understand the late ’70s Houston news cycle.) Anyways, they would go to breakfast there after late nights at da club. There was a club that was in the area called The Ritz (“It was like the Studio 54 of NYC” – direct quote from my mom). Side note: My PARENTS ate at Le Peep when they were my age (!!!!). The new, swankier Le Peep is now right behind Eloise Nichols and Bosscat Kitchen. But an expanding River Oaks District threatened that longstanding Le Peep on Westheimer until it found a new spot just down the street. I'm not Nostradamus, but if LePeep can learn new tricks with a location that had been around for 30 years, something tells me they'll be around for another 30 years.Le Peep is one of those Houston things that us born-and-raised Houstonians take for granted, you know? It’s just always there for a casual breakfast or quick lunch. COLORADO Boulder - CO Open for Indoor Dining 2525 Arapahoe Ave. See the latest reviews, ratings, photos, specs, information, pricing. It's got just the right amount of crispness and actually tastes like a waffle, rather than a pancake that's been run through a waffle iron. Breakfast & Brunch, American (Traditional), Sandwiches (713) 783-7337. While there's plenty to enjoy on their menu, for my money it's all about their waffle, which may be the best in the city. The new Galleria-area location is more in line with their Memorial City location, full of lighter colors and big windows that let in an ample amount of sunlight. With their darker colors, they felt more like dinner restaurants rather than a place to start the day off. The interiors of some of the older LePeep locations always struck me as a bit weird. Having sampled their mimosas, it tastes like their alcohol program is starting off on the right foot. Visitors at the Galleria-area LePeep now have a variety of choices from LeBar, including mimosas, Bloody Marys, Salty Dogs and coffee with a kick, in addition to beer and wine. Houston loves its Sunday Fundays, and talking to operators Mark Mobley and Brendon Murphy, they made mention of the fact that they didn't want people looking for a great brunch to skip over LePeep just because they want a boozy addition to their meal. The biggest change is the introduction of alcohol to the drink menu.
